The story of Ibrahim
Ibrahim’s voice has a purpose. His eyes are fixed on us and his tongue flows as he talks about the steps he and his family made in order for the death of his grandmother, his sister and his cousin at the hands of the neo-Nazis sometime in the 90s to not be forgotten. When he does not talk about his experience, the trauma that the fire left on his soul, manifests itself as a tic that troubles his speech. As he told us, he does not like speaking about the perpetrators of this attack. All of his power goes to the victims and their families. And he is not the only victim and his was not the only family that was devastated by such a brutal, and racially motivated attack. Ibrahim is trying to create a network between the people that had similar experiences, and try to turn them from victims to empowered individuals. Play this video and discover his story.
