Russom came to Germany from Eritrea. His journey was brutal, physically and mentally exhausting. However, the impression one gets from talking to Russom is not of a damaged man but of a soul that it is full of positivity and courage. Crossing the sea was one of the biggest fears of his, but in the midst of all the dread and insecurity he managed not only to keep his mind calm, but also to empower others, and help them to survive in their darkest hour.
